Kinsella Announces Bid for Brookland District School Board

March 7, 2019

Glen Allen, VA - Kristi Kinsella announced today she is seeking election in 2019 as the next Brookland District School Board representative in Henrico County. Kinsella is a wife, mother of three children attending Brookland District schools, and a small business owner. She is a longtime resident of Henrico County and graduated from Brookland District schools and Virginia Commonwealth University. She co-founded Equitable Advocates, a citizen group that has brought much attention to needs in the school system in recent years. She’s been an active volunteer in her children’s schools, their PTAs, and served on various HCPS committees.

Kinsella stated, “I am running for the same reasons I have been engaged over the years. I believe we live in one of the best counties in Virginia, but we still have work to do in our schools to reduce overcrowding and lower student to teacher ratios, restore core funding, and ensure we are recruiting and retaining the best and brightest teachers and leaders. I am excited about connecting with voters this year and earning the trust necessary to be their voice and lead our schools. Henrico County’s children, teachers, and staff deserve our very best efforts. That is what I intend to offer the voters of Brookland.”
